Conquer the Fastest Track in the World as the Pilot of Your Own Bobsleigh!
Ready for the ultimate adrenaline rush? Now’s your chance to take control of a beginner-friendly bobsleigh and race down the Whistler Olympic Track at speeds of up to 115 km/h! If you’ve ever driven a car or a go-kart, you’ve already got what it takes to be a bobsleigh pilot—and it’s easier and safer than you think!
Two Options for Adrenaline-Filled Runs
Join us at the Whistler Sliding Centre for this 2.5-hour introduction to Bobsleigh, where a bobsleigh coach will take you through the core skills and techniques. After an orientation, you will be teamed up with a partner and a training sled - and then you're off, racing down the track!
Option 1: Be the pilot!
After getting introduced to the basics to pilot a sled, you'll sit in the driver's seat! With guidance from the coach, you and your brakeman will take your first run on the track (sleds are being pushed into the track by track crew, no running/jumping in required). Starting at Curve 3 (3/4 of the way up the track), you will pilot your sled reaching speeds of up to 115 km/h while driving through the final thirteen curves on the Olympic track.
Option 2: Be a brakeman!
Brakemen are the heart of bobsleigh - without a good brakeman, no pilot can win a competition! They are the push power of the sled and help decide the race by fractions of a second. Sit behind your pilot and experience an adrenaline fuelled run down the track (sleds are being pushed into the track by track crew, no pushing/running/jumping required).
