The Whistler Sliding Centre's Passenger Bobsleigh Sport Experience is one of Whistler's most unique activities!

No previous experience is required.

Slides December — April.

After an orientation, you will slide in a real bobsleigh, driven by a trained pilot. You and your team will race through ten twists and turns at speeds of 125+ km/hr and feel the acceleration of up to 4 g-forces. The Whistler Sliding Centre is the only place in Canada where public can try bobsleigh and slide like an Olympian. Passenger Bobsleigh runs rain, snow or shine so it’s the perfect addition to your time in Whistler, whatever the weather.

Participants must make sure they are ready to slide and meet the weight, height and health requirements outlined on the following page:

What to Expect?

Your Passenger Bobsleigh Experience will begin with an orientation about your ride and track etiquette. After the orientation, you will be shuttled to your start position about two thirds up the track, where you will be fitted with a helmet. You will meet your pilot, and with the assistance of the track crew, be seated in the sled and go through the final safety checks. Listen as your team’s names will be announced on the big speakers! Once your sled gets the green light, track crew will give your sled a push, and the control tower will announce “bobsleigh in track”! As you accelerate down the track, lean into the corners to assist your steering pilot in reaching top speeds of 125+ km/hr in the final corner. The uphill outrun will slow you to a stop at the finish dock, where the track crew will assist you to exit the sled. Line up for your commemorative photo, and take the shuttle back to Guest Services.
