Whistler Sliding Centre to host IBSF North American Cup, November 23-26

From November 23-26, 2016, bobsleigh and skeleton athletes from 18 nations will compete at the Whistler Sliding Centre for the IBSF North American Cup. Entry for spectators is free on all event days. There will be competitions in Women’s Skeleton, Men’s Skeleton, Women’s Bobsleigh, 2-man Bobsleigh and 4-man Bobsleigh.

  • Around 170 athletes from 18 countries competing:
    12 countries in bobsleigh (AUS, BRA, CAN, GBR, ISV, JAM, KOR, NED, ROU, RUS, SUI, USA),
    15 countries in skeleton (AUS, CAN, ESP, GHA, IRL, ISV, ITA, JAM, JPN, KOR, NED, NZL, RUS, SWE, USA)
  • Local athletes competing: Parker Reid & Julie Johnson (both bobsleigh)
  • Spectator entry is free, venue maps available at Guest Services
  • Whistler Sliding Centre is located at 4910 Glacier Lane, across the street from Lot 8. Access by car (limited parking available on site) or public transit (bus #7/staff housing)
