Job Location: Whistler Sliding Centre

The Whistler Sliding Centre is home to the fastest ice track in the world. Since hosting the bobsleigh, skeleton and luge competitions during the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, the Whistler Sliding Centre continues to challenge the sports’ most elite athletes with international competitions, recruiting camps, and ongoing youth programs. Visitors are invited to tour the state-of-the-art facility, or experience the action first-hand with passenger bobsleigh (winter and summer) and skeleton rides (winter only) down part of the 1,450 meter-long ice track.
Shuttle Bus Driver / Guest Service Host, Summer is the first point of contact with guests of the Whistler Sliding Centre.  Shuttle Bus Driver responsibilities include safe pick-up and delivery of guests within the venue while providing excellent customer service.  This varied Guest Service Host position rotates through all roles associated with the Summer Bobsleigh Experience program.  This Temporary Full Time role requires flexibility to work weekends and evenings.

Job Location: Whistler Athletes Centre

The Whistler Athletes’ Centre is a high performance training and accommodation facility for all levels of sport, educational groups, and art & culture organizations. Built for the athletes of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, competitors continue to utilize the Whistler Athletes’ Centre for short-and long-term lodging and dryland conditioning. As the headquarters for the Whistler Adaptive Sports Program, and the Whistler Campus for the Canadian Sport Institute-Pacific, no other venue provides the level of accessibility and amenities for athletes like the Whistler Athletes’ Centre.
Under the direction of the Manager, Facilities and the Manager, Whistler Athletes’ Centre, the Maintenance Associate performs general preventative maintenance and repair duties for assigned buildings, furnishings, and equipment at Whistler Athletes’ Centre facilities.  Required duties include painting, basic carpentry, cement work, plumbing, and related work, in addition to responding to guest related issues.  This Regular Full Time position frequently works independently during evenings and some days, providing coverage for the Manager, Facilities.

The Coordinator, Sport is the first point of contact with sliding athletes, volunteers, coaches, the public, and sport organizations at Whistler Sliding Centre.  As liaison with various sport service stakeholders this role assists the Head Coach/Manager, Sport as the primary point of contact for sport users.  Also, this role assists to provide guidance, leadership, development opportunities to athletes, coaches, and event planners as directed.  With an unwavering belief in sport development in Canada, in accordance with WSL’s mission, vision, and values, assist the Head Coach/Manager, Sport in the delivery of the WSL sport plan as it relates to WSC.
Reporting to the Head Coach/Manager, Sport, responsibilities include administration, accounts receivable / payable, school programs, athlete recruitment, sport programming, and communication to sliding sport membership.  This position requires ability to work evenings and weekends.

The Head Coach/Manager, Sport is responsible for managing and delivering sliding sport programs for Whistler Sport Legacies (WSL) at Whistler Sliding Centre (WSC). As liaison with various sport service stakeholders this role is the primary point of contact for sport users, and provides guidance, leadership, and development opportunities to athletes, coaches, and event planners. With an unwavering belief in sport development in Canada, in accordance with WSL’s mission, vision, and values, this role is focused on the delivery of the WSL sport plan as it relates to WSC.
Reporting to the Managing Director, WSC and the Vice President, Sport this role works co-operatively with local, national, and international sport organizations to directly enhance the quality of sport delivery at WSC while growing sport.  This role continually evolves sport delivery and strategic goals for WSC.  This Regular Full Time role is an evolving position and requires flexibility to assist the team with other activities or initiatives including the requirement to work evenings and weekends as required.

Whistler Olympic Park has a history of glory and gold - one-third of all medals at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games were awarded here.
The Supervisor, Guest Services coordinates all sales and bookings of seasonal programs and activities, including retail and rental products at Whistler Olympic Park.  Responsibilities include supervising the point-of-sale system while ensuring appropriate financial controls are carried out, and that processes are adhered to. 
Reporting to the Manager, Guest Services this role enables excellent seamless customer friendly delivery of all WOP seasonal public programs, products and services.  This Regular Full Time role requires flexibility to work weekends and nights.

The Summer Operations Rep must be a student registered in full-time studies in the previous academic year and intend to return to their studies in the next academic school year.  This role works in a variety of capacities from Guest Services and Operations at Whistler Olympic Park. The guest experience is enhanced by their ability to share information, educate, and engage. Duties may include guest services, trail and operations maintenance, custodial, and assistance with sport camps. Excellent customer service, a high level of product knowledge, and great interpretive and interpersonal skills are required for this position. This role is organized and friendly and works well within the team while demonstrating the Whistler Sport Legacies’ philosophy that All Interactions Matter (AIM). This is a summer seasonal role and requires ability to work weekends.

This position involves the general site maintenance of the Whistler Olympic Park.  Duties include but are not limited to building maintenance, trail maintenance, landscaping, capital projects work, assisting summer activity staff, custodial work, and event support.  This is a seasonal full time role and requires flexibility to work weekends and evenings.
